In All Things by Laura Smith Joins the World of Ink Tours

I am excited to share with everyone about Halo Publishing and the World of Ink Network touring author Laura Smith’s, In All Things: Giving Thanks When Hope Seems Lost published by Halo Publishing Int.

This is a wonderful book I not only had the pleasure to work on as chief editor for Halo Publishing, but read as well. Laura Smith wrote this book for anyone who has suffered any kind of loss, especially the loss of a baby through miscarriage or abortion. Laura shares her own painful journey and raw experiences, and how she found peace and healing through the grace of God.

Note: You do not have to be a religious person to find the inspirational and motivational messages within or even of the same faith of Laura Smith. If you believe or even don’t believe, things happen for a reason, In All Things may give you another outlook on life you never dreamed possible.

About the Book:
Experience an incredible journey that will make you laugh out loud and cry tears of joy and sorrow. Learn how one miraculous encounter with God created an unshakeable faith that would later give Laura Smith the strength to face the near death of her oldest daughter.

I will be doing a special edition of The Writing Mama show live, June 11, 2012 at 2pm EST. Producer Irene Roth and I will be chatting with author Laura Smith about her inspirational memoir with religious undertones, In All Things: Giving Thanks When Hope Seems Lost. The group will also talk about some of personal experiences Smith shares in her book, how she felt during those times and how they have changed her forever.

About the Author:
Laura Smith works as a medical coding and reimbursement specialist in Northern Minnesota. She spent her youth on a small dairy farm in Northeast Minnesota. She was married two weeks after her high school graduation. Three years and two children later, she was facing divorce and single parenthood. She moved to a college town in north central MN where she hoped to earn a degree and make a life for her and her two young daughters. There she met and married the love of her life. Together they embarked on a life together as a ready-made family facing all the challenges that comes with it. They had no idea that the life experiences they walked through early on and one life-altering event would prepare them for the ultimate challenge, the possible death of their daughter.

Interview: Meet Author Sands Hetherington, Author of Night Buddies, A Lights Out Adventure Series for Kids - Books - Blogcritics

Sands Hetherington credits his son John for being his principal motivator. Sands raised his son as a single parent from the time John was six. He read to him every night during those formative years. He and young John developed the Crosley crocodile character in the Night Buddies series during months of bedtime story give-and-take. Sands shared, “We always did bedtime stories and probably didn't miss a night for six or seven years. Stories were as essential as air and food.” It’s no wonder Sands loves to read and write, and is a big advocate in starting a reading schedule with young children. Sands majored in history at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and has an M.F.A. in creative writing and an M.A. in English from UNC-Greensboro. However, he started writing at a very young age. “I think it was 10th grade. I handed in some sappy poetical piece and the very cute student teacher gushed over it. Her name was Ellen and she was spoken for, but that did it...

The Stories for Children show 09/26 by WorldOfInkNetwork | Blog Talk Radio

Fiona Ingram’s earliest story -telling talents came to the fore when, from the age of ten, she entertained her three younger brothers and their friends with serialized tales of children undertaking dangerous and exciting exploits, which they survived through courage and ingenuity. Haunted houses, vampires, and skeletons leaping out of coffins were hot favorites in the cast of characters . Although Fiona Ingram has been a journalist for the last fifteen years, writing a children’s book — The Secret of the Sacred Scarab —was an unexpected step, inspired by a recent trip to Egypt. The tale of the sacred scarab began life as a little anecdotal tale for her 2 nephews (then 10 and 12), who had accompanied her on the Egyptian trip. This short story grew into a children’s book, the first in the adventure series Chronicles of the Stone .
